Jewelry Repair & Ring Resizing in Cheshire, CT
We Do Jewelry Repair
Appointment only. DW Gem Services offers jewelry repair in Cheshire, CT for rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and heirloom pieces. We handle sizing, reconditioning, stone setting, gold, silver and platinum repairs, restringing of pearls and beads, and stone replacement. Each repair starts with a look at the piece together. That way, you know what it needs and what it will cost before any work begins.
Common Jewelry Repair Work
Ring sizing is the most common request. Then come worn prongs, loose stones and broken chains. We also recondition pieces that have lost their shine, and we restring pearls and beads. For antique and estate pieces, we take extra care to keep the original design intact.
Why Repair Instead of Replace
Most jewelry can come back to wearable condition for far less than the cost of a new piece. So before you set something aside, bring it in. We will tell you plainly whether a repair makes sense, and we will give you a price up front.
What to Bring
Bring the piece, along with any paperwork you have, such as an old appraisal or a receipt. If you are not sure whether something can be fixed, bring it anyway. Looking at it costs nothing, and you may be surprised at what is possible.
How It Works
First, contact us to set up an appointment. Then we go over the piece with you and explain the work. Because we work by appointment only, you get our full attention each time. When the piece is ready, we let you know and you can pick it up at a time that suits you.
If a piece is beyond repair, we can also buy your jewelry or redesign it into something new through our custom jewelry design service.

Renee Young
Don is an excellent jeweler who helped me replace the missing stone from my engagement ring. I can’t thank him enough for the time and effort.
Harriet Perdikaris
I took a pearly pendant to Don hoping he could make it into a ring for me. He listened to what I was envisioning me some ideas of how best to recreate it.
